HORSES IN TRAINING

Meet the horses currently in training with David Dennis Racing.

BALLYNAHEER
2019
SEX: Gelding
Breeding: by Mahler out of Ballynagall

Owner: Mr David Purvis

Ballynaheer was purchased from the Goffs UK Spring Sale at Doncaster in 2023. A scopey, chasing type, he first caught the eye when finishing second in a maiden point-to-point at Edgcote in April of that year.

He shed his maiden tag in impressive style at Huntingdon on 1 April 2024, making all and jumping fluently under Tom Bellamy to win comfortably by seven lengths — a memorable day for first-time owner David Purvis.

Sent chasing in the autumn of 2024, Ballynaheer produced solid efforts with placings at both Uttoxeter and Wincanton. A confidence-denting run at Hereford briefly set him back, but he benefitted from a confidence-boosting spin over the brush hurdles at Worcester in the summer.

He then made all to win by a commanding 14 lengths, again showcasing his fluent jumping — one of his key strengths. Subsequent runner-up finishes at Fontwell and Hereford were followed by two more victories at Warwick and Plumpton, where he once again jumped accurately and travelled strongly.

A scopey, sound jumper who stays well, Ballynaheer is a likeable and progressive horse who should continue to win races over fences.

GEORGIE'S LADY
2022
SEX: Filly
Breeding: By Order of St George out of A Good Year

Owner:

Georgie.jpg

This attractive three-year-old filly was sourced from the Goffs Arkle sale in June 2025 as an unbroken store.  Her sire, Order Of St George, has been siring plenty of winners in his first season as a National Hunt Sire.  Her dam, A Good Year is an Own sister to Grade 2 Cheltenham Festival winner Noble Prince.

She made her racecourse debut at Hereford on Eater Monday and settled well before getting tired.  We look forward to getting her schooled and aiming her for fillies and mares’ races, of which there are plenty in the National Hunt fixture list.

TIME INTERVAL
2018
SEX: Gelding
Breeding: by Adaay out of Kuriosa

Owner: Clan McNeil

Time Interval joined us at Edgcote in the spring of 2024. A four-time winner on the Flat, he previously ran to a solid level for Roger Charlton and John Flint, achieving an official BHA Flat mark of 82. He made a winning debut over hurdles for us at Hereford in May 2024, landing a two-mile maiden hurdle despite racing keenly under Tom Bellamy.

He has been in fine form so far this year, running consistently well and winning two competitive handicap hurdles at Stratford and Warwick under Adam Wedge who gets on very well with him. We hope he continues in this vein over hurdles in the short term. He jumps hurdles particularly well, and we may look to send him over fences in the future.
