HORSES IN TRAINING

Meet the horses currently in training with David Dennis Racing.

BALLYNAHEER
2019
SEX: Gelding
Breeding: by Mahler out of Ballynagall

Owner: Mr David Purvis

Ballynaheer was purchased from the Spring 2023 Goffs UK Sale at Doncaster. He is a scopey chasing type, who had finished second in a maiden point-to-point at Edgcote, in April. During the race, he travelled well and showed a good attitude to jump to the lead at the fourth-last fence. He settled in well last season at the yard and was sent hurdling where he ran promisingly on debut at Chepstow. He then found heavy ground in the winter months wasn't to his liking. He lost his maiden tag at Huntingdon on 1st April 2023 where he made all of the running to rout his rivals, jumping well and winning comfortably by seven lengths. This was a memorable day for first-time racehorse owner, David Purvis. Ballynaheer has been placed over fences, we hope it won't be too long before he is in the winners enclosure in this sphere.

Owner: Sue Howell

This four-year-old filly was purchased at the Spring Store Sales at Doncaster in May 2024. She is a half-sister to Indy Five, who was a very talented staying chaser for us at DD Racing. She is also a half-sister to Hurricane Georgie, who is a six-time winning mare for Gordon Elliott. She has been broken in and will be given time to adjust to our training regime. She has a great attitude and temperament which is important. She will be aimed at mares’ bumpers before going hurdling.

TIME INTERVAL
2018
SEX: Gelding
Breeding: by Adaay out of Kuriosa

Owner: Clan McNeil

Time Interval.PNG

Time Interval joined us here at Edgcote in the Spring of 2024.  He is a four time winner on the flat he ran to a decent level for Roger Charlton and John Flint getting to an official BHA flat mark of 82.  He made a winning start for us at Hereford in a Two Mile Maiden Hurdle after being very keen under Tom Bellamy.  After an enforced time off after his maiden hurdle win he has run consistently well winning twice during May 2025 and remain an exciting prospect for his owners Clan McNeil.
