CARAPAZ arrived at Edgcote in the Spring and has settled in well.  He had one run in an Irish Maiden Point to Point, where he was still travelling well in front, when he unfortunately fell at the second last fence.  He is a likeable horse who will hopefully give us plenty of fun over hurdles this summer.  He is available for syndication in 10% shares - P.O.A.

Cyclop is one of the toughest jump horses that David has ever trained.  He was purchased by David after winning a claiming hurdle around Auteuil in the spring of 2014 as a 3yo.  Given he's not a very big horse, it was a remarkable performance which was a factor as to why David liked him.  Cyclop has won 3 times over hurdles and 8 times over fences, been placed 12 times earning a total of £146,000 in win and place prize money.  Career highlights have been winning the Lincolnshire National at Market Rasen in 2017 (and was desperately unlucky not to win it in 2020 when runner up having been denied a run) and winning the William Hill Highland National at Perth in April 2021.  He had an amazing 22/23 season where he was placed in 3 long distance nationals at Fontwell, Kelso and Cattericck before rattling up three Veteran chases on the trot at Musselburgh and Newbury which was incredible.   Cyclop has been a delight to train, and we look forward to seeing him back in action in Long Distance and Veterans’ Chases again this season where he will hopefully give his owners continued fun at the grand age of 12.

Breeding: By Getaway out of Tasmani

Owner: Lorna Hardwick, Tim Wright and Mike Richmond

This half-brother to our very own Cyclop and Innisfree Lad was purchased at the Goffs Land Rover Sale in June 2022.  A fine-looking son of Getaway who has similarities to his half-brothers and has plenty of scope which will stand him in good stead in the future.  He is being brought along steadily and we hope he gives us as much fun as his half-brothers have over the years! He had two runs in point to point bumpers in spring where he showed a great deal of promise finishing fourth at Sandon in April 2023 on his final start.  He has strengthened up over the summer and considering he is only a 4yo we look forward to training him again this season.
