Harthill is fine stamp of a mare by the extremely popular National Hunt sire, Walk In The Park, who was purchased at the Derby Sale at Fairyhouse, in Ireland, in June 2021.  She was broken in straight after the sale and has had two seasons of training at Edgcote which she has with-stood very well.  She had 3 runs in Bumpers to gain experience and her fourth place on soft ground at Chepstow proved she clearly handles soft ground and has ability.  She has taken time to gain experience but is improving all the time.  She jumps well and will hopefully prove well handicapped after her three runs over hurdles.  She stands a good 16.2 and has the size and scope to make a chaser in the future.

HOBIE
2017
SEX: Gelding
Breeding: by Coastal Path out of Beauty Blue
Owner: Dr Tom Davies, Steve Merry & Tim Wright

Hobie joined us at Edgcote in early Spring after two runs in Irish point to points where he finished fourth on his first start and won his second cosily at Lisronagh.   He has settled in well at the yard and had his first run at Exeter in a bumper where he travelled powerfully for the majority of the race.  After racing too enthusiastically in a hurdle race over 2m4f he won his second start over hurdles at Worcester in a Maiden Hurdle where he settled well over two miles.  He stayed on well to win by a convincing length and half under Gavin Sheehan.  A season hurdling is on the agenda before chasing where we hope he will have a big future.

INNISFREE LAD
2012
SEX: Gelding
Breeding: by Yeats out of Tasmani

Owner: Lorna Hardwick & Bob Allum

Innisfree Lad is a half-brother to our own Cyclop.  He was purchased privately by David in Scotland in February 2017 after running promisingly in a bumper at Ayr.  Innisfree Lad has won 3 times over hurdles and 5 times over fences earning over £96,000 in win and place prize money.  He has always had the promise to become a chaser and during the 2020/21 season won 5 times from 10 runs which equaled the amounts of wins for any horse in training that season.  His win in the Betway Challenger Staying Series Final Handicap at Haydock in April 2021 was a superb run considering he was giving 19lbs to the runner up, Defuture Is Bright.  He again had a productive season routing his opposition at Hereford in a Veterans Chase making all and winning by 8 lengths.  He will to be aimed at Veteran and long distance chases again this season where he can be dangerous off a mark anything lower than 120.
