Worcester To Newbury Worth The Trip

Posted on 22nd July 2016

The trip from Worcester to Newbury was well worth it last night for David as he hot footed it to the Berkshire track after saddling King’s Song in the last at his most local track.

King’s Song who had been prominent early in the 5.30 at Worcester eventually finished 7th under Zac Baker and then it was on to Newbury for their last race of the evening.

Danecase was held up in the rear during the first part of the race before being asked to quicken by jockey Fergus Sweeney and got to the front with a furlong to go. Staying on stoutly, Danecase galloped all the way to the line to land the Lodge Hotel At Newbury Racecourse Handicap by a short head.
