Favourites Racing owned Steel Summit recorded his second win of the season under a positive ride from Brian Harding in the 100% Racing UK Profits Returned To Racing Handicap Chase at Wetherby on Saturday.
With it being only a small field, Steel Summit was able to dominate as he likes to do and the race was put to bed coming up the straight with the Craigsteel gelding putting together a good round of jumping.
Angus Glens also ran well on Friday, dead heating for 2nd under apprentice Josephine Gordon at Lingfield. After leading for much of the way, he was unlucky to get collared close home.
Tyre Hill finished a staying on 3rd despite the heavy ground in the Bumper at Uttoxeter on Saturday under Mikey Ennis and remains an exciting prospect for the future.
Our two Cheltanham runners, Maller Tree and Roman Flight both ran creditably on Sunday with the latter finishing 9th in the very competitive Greatwood Hurdle on ground that was undoubtedly too soft for his liking.
Roman Flight will now take a short break before a planned return in the Spring where he will be aimed at a tilt in the County Hurdle at the Cheltenham Festival.
