Verse Is In Flying Form With First Win Over Fences

Posted on 30th July 2019

Yesterday (Monday 29th July 2019) saw Flying Verse continue the David Dennis Racing run of good fortune with victory at Newton Abbot on just his second start over fences for owners Dr C. A. Barnett & Partner.

The 7yo son of Yeats had made his debut over the larger obstacles just two weeks previous where he was not by any means disgraced finishing 5th at Ffos Las. However, a change of venue & a step up in trip to 3m2f all worked to Flying Verse’s advantage as he landed the spoils under jockey Sam Twiston-Davies.

Prominent from early on in the race, Flying Verse travelled & jumped well throughout before being asked to take up the lead after the third fence from home & winning comfortably by 5 lengths.

Flying Verse has taken to fences well & is an athletic & natural jumper which should stand him in good stead now as he continues to run throughout the summer & autumn months.
