Three Year Anniversay Of First Winner

Posted on 16th September 2016

Saturday 17th September sees David and the team celebrating three years since David’s first winner as a licensed trainer.

On this day in 2013 within a month of gaining his dual trainers licence, David achieved his first winner on the flat with Princess Caetani under jockey Oisin Murphy as the pair battled through heavy ground to land the 32REDPOKER.COM Handicap at Chepstow.

Princess Caetani, has since been retired and earlier this spring had a colt foal by Derby winning Coolmore stallion Camelot (pictured below)

Since his first victory as a racehorse trainer David has trained nearly 100 winners at his Tyre Hill Racing Stables, Hanley Swan. Recent successes include My Mo, Roman Flight & Lostock Hall at Stratford & Doitforjoe at Southwell.

As the National Hunt Season approaches there is plenty to look forward to at David Dennis Racing. The building of the new state of the art 60-stable yard at Tyre Hill is well under way and this new development project will also incorporate an additional 8-horse walker, modern wash down bays and new and improved staff facilities and will allow us to expand significantly in the future.
