Types of Ownership

There’s nothing more exhilarating than seeing your racehorse cross the finishing line in first place.

At David Dennis Racing, we offer a range of different ownership options so whatever your dreams of becoming a racehorse owner look like, we can help you achieve them.

Sole ownership

This is when one individual owns a horse and is solely responsible for the purchase and costs involved. You’ll get to choose the race colours and name of your horse and keep all the winnings!

Syndicates and co-ownership

Co-ownership is a popular choice and involves a group of people sharing the costs and responsibilities of horse ownership. Your horse will run under an existing or jointly-decided name and the winnings will be shared between the group.

Corporate ownership

This is an ideal way to advertise your company. Giving your horse your company name and organising team days out to the races can help to unite your employees and build your brand.

Leasing a racehorse

David Dennis Racing has various horses available to lease so you don’t have to invest major capital in buying a horse to get involved.  You just have the training costs which means you can get to the winners enclosure and enjoy the Tyre Hill Stables experience along the way.

A local Incentive

No matter what type of ownership you may wish to become involved in, it’s always nice to have runners and maybe a winner or two at your local track.

With this in mind, as of January 2015 we are offering all owners free transport for their horses to our two most local racecourses, Worcester & Cheltenham.

Cheltenham Racecourse is the infamous home of Jumps racing and a track where all owners aspire to have a runner. Worcester is a fantastic Summer jumping course and there is nothing quite like sipping a glass of Pimm’s or two next to the River Severn whilst cheering your horse home.

Please visit our horses for sale page or to explore your ownership options in more detail, please get in touch and we’ll be happy to help.
