Norse Light Shines at Leicester

Posted on 28th January 2016

We were delighted to see Norse Light following up two recent 2nd’s in December with a win at Leicester on Tuesday 26th January in the Humberstone Handicap Hurdle.

This was the first time the son of Norse Dancer had got his head in front since landing his first victory over obstacles last February at Ludlow though it was a win that will stay vivid in his connections memories for a good while yet as Norse Light was supplying both his owners and his jockey with some well deserved firsts.

Owners The Dobbin Club & Partner have two horses here at Tyre Hill Racing Stables but we were thrilled for them to land their first victory with us on Tuesday with Norse Light who, held up early on in the race, hit the front just before the last flight of hurdles to provide a first win for yard conditional jockey Gareth Malone since he joined David Dennis Racing in late November 2015.

Norse Light seems to relish the very soft ground that is around at the moment so it’s sure not to be too long until we see him back on the track again.
