Angus Glens Provides Pre-Christmas Cheer

Posted on 23rd December 2014

Angus Glens was one of four runners that were spread out over three different meetings for us last Friday but it was the game grey that got his head in front in a bold front running performance to score easily in the end by 5 lengths for owners Corbetts Stud and jockey Martin Lane at Wolverhampton’s Dunstall Park.

He had been running consistently of late and deserved to take the honours given that his last win was back in July at Yarmouth.

Another to run well that day was Final Nudge. Having had nearly 12 months off the track, he lined up in the Ascot Underwriting Championship Standard Open National Hunt Flat Race (Listed) at the Berkshire track and finished a very good 4th in what was an extremely hot contest, running all the way to the line.

He is sure to come on for the outing and remains a very exciting prospect.

We have plenty of runners to look forward to on Boxing Day and over the Festive period including winner of his last two, Un Anjou who is set to make an appearance at Wincanton, Cyclop who is improving all the time and is declared at Huntingdon and Angus Glens will once again make his way to Wolverhampton all on Boxing Day.
