Angus Glens Lands The Spoils At Southwell

Posted on 13th May 2015

Angus Glens could be seen winning The Belvoir Equine Nutrition And Laser Therapy Maiden Hurdle at Southwell’s evening meeting last night (12th May) on only his second start over hurdles.

The eye catching grey by Dalakhani unseated at the first flight on his hurdling debut at Exeter last week after running around on the approach to it. However, this time Angus was much more professional and jumped well throughout.

Noel Fehily was back on board this time as he was seven days ago and after keeping the 5yo gelding covered up for the first part of the race he cruised into contention easily in the home straight to go on and score by 2 lengths from the fancied Jonjo O’Neill bumper winner Holly Bush Henry.
