Weekend Declarations

Posted on 13th May 2016

We are busy with six runners this weekend at three different racecourses across the country.

Rebel Benefit will be our first of these as he heads to Bangor tomorrow (Saturday) for the Wrexham Lager Handicap Chase set for 4.50 where Aidan Coleman will be taking the ride for owners Rose Farm Developments & Partner. Rebel Benefit has not been on the track since January but is in good form at home and we are looking forward to seeing him back in action.

Danecase is our only other declared runner tomorrow as he heads North to Doncaster for the last race on the card, the Sun Favourite Handicap with Martin Lane booked to take the ride. The son of Showcasing has had just 2 runs so far this season and we are looking forward to seeing what he can produce tomorrow evening.

Sunday is our busiest day of the weekend as we send out two runners each to both Market Rasen & Stratford. Making the journey to Market Rasen will be The Big Dipper in the Victor Lucas Chase, 3.15 and King’s Song in the Little Black Dog Long Run Home Handicap Chase set for 4.55.  The Big Dipper will be making his chasing debut for owners The Lucky Seven under Leighton Aspell whilst King’s Song who will be ridden by James Davies has already been a winner for Favourites Racing (Syndication) Ltd 2 in this sphere after landing the spoils on his debut over fences last season.

Staying closer to home and making their way to Stratford will be Dreamingofrevelry in the opener at 1.50 & Lucky Jim who lines up later in the afternoon in the stratfordcaravans.co.uk Novices´ Limited Handicap Chase at 3.25. Dreamingofrevelry is all set to make her hurdling debut on Sunday for owners The Ferandlin Peaches whilst the super consistent Lucky Jim will be sure to run his heart out as always and should appreciate a step up in trip to 2m3f.
