The weather may not be up to much this Summer but here at David Dennis Racing, things are certainly hotting up around the yard.

We have a massive new project underway here at Tyre Hill Stables that will see our yard expand by some 50+ boxes.

The top of the range new facility will take the form of three American style barns adjoining each other that will each surround a central courtyard. Building is progressing nicely and our new yard is set for completion around the end of the Summer just in time for when the Autumn weather begins to change and the Winter National Hunt horses will all be in full swing.

In addition to an abundance of stables, there will also be a new horse walker, spacious feed rooms and wash-down bays which will all help to make the daily routine smoother for both horses and staff and we are all very excited to see the end result!

As well as the new yard being a talking point here at David Dennis Racing, the horses have also been running well throughout the Summer months with Deauville Dancer & Roman Flight being amongst our most recent winners.

Deauville Dancer won very cosily over hurdles at Stratford back on 28th June 2016 and Roman Flight won the second chase of his career when landing the feature race at Stratford on Sunday afternoon (10th July), the Sunday Mercury Handicap Chase where he ran on strongly up the home straight under Jamie Bargary to land the spoils by 2 1/4 lengths taking his total prize money earned so far to in excess of £100,000.

The flat horses have also been running well in recent weeks with the likes of Kody Ridge & Three C’s who were new 2yo acquisitions this season consistently knocking on the door so far and they surely can’t be kept out of the winners enclosure for too much longer.
