Roman Takes Flight Over Fences

Posted on 28th July 2015

Last Sunday (26th July) saw Roman Flight take on the bigger obstacles for the first time at Staffordshire track Uttoxeter.

The 7yo who is a talented hurdler was partnered by Noel Fehily for his chasing debut when lining up in the Brewers Beginners’ Chase where he stalked the entire field for most of the way before being asked to go about his business upon entering the home straight.

After a quick shake of the reins, the Antonius Pius gelding was quick to assert and took up the lead on the flat to land the spoils by a neck from the Oliver Sherwood trained Lemony Bay.

This was a very pleasing performance and we are very hopeful that he can go on to have a successful a career over fences as he has so far over hurdles.
