Roman Bids For Return Flight Around Cheltenham
Posted on 14th November 2014
Stable star Roman Flight makes a return to the scene of his win two starts ago by making the relatively short journey to Cheltenham on Sunday 16th November.
Last time Roman Flight won at the Cotswold track it was under stable conditional Shane Quinlan in a conditional jockeys handicap hurdle and it was a first ever runner there for David Dennis Racing. He then went on to win at Fakenham just seven days later with Aidan Coleman doing the steering.
This time Roman Flight is set to take his chance in the Grade 3 Greatwood Hurdle over a trip of 2m1/2f at 3.15 under Brian Hughes where we are hoping he can give another good account of himself.
Yard conditional Shane Quinlan gets the leg up at Cheltenham once again this weekend aboard Maller Tree in the Brian Kilpatrick Conditional Jockeys´ Handicap Hurdle at 1.00 on Sunday.
Shane will be hoping to bring home another winner as he did aboard Roman Flight last time at the Prestbury track.
Other runners for David Dennis Racing this weekend are declared at Uttoxeter and Wetherby on Saturday.
Promising 5yo Tyre Hill who ran well on his debut at Worcester last month will run in the Bumper at Uttoxeter at 4.00 with Mikey Ennis riding.
Making their way to Wetherby will be 7yo Key To The West who will be having just his second start over fences in the 2.05 with Brian Harding in the plate and Steel Summit who will be carrying top weight in the 3 runner 2m4f handicap chase at 3.50 again with Brian Harding doing the steering.
